Hear Ye

Anyone can write poetry, philosophers and kings
Who can write the words that say, listen to what I mean
That interest young and old, blind and deaf as well
Propel them to the stars, or to the depths of hell.

Savant you say, he means no harm while wid'ling away
Both time, truth and sanctity hard earned by all each day
This message clear to anyone when lofty words do prey
On man both fool and king, enlightened and dismayed.
