Freedom of the press?

Image
Suppression of citizen outrage is found in cities around the US   This historically temporary state of popular rebellion centralizes retaliation instead of reform  Only time and the will to repair damage done by a few will emerge beyond the tear gas and other weapons of personal assault on the freedom to assemble and to report current social conditions Source: https://youtu.be/dnxMt6wq5Ls     www.bellingcat.com

Nudity as art

If you blog   the way to raise your hits is to provide provocative information   This can be either a religious topic   something of a sexual nature  and if you persist a political topic now worn thin  These models are not real  They are software posing characters   None of this type of software initially displays people with clothes   Even Disney artist started with a bare Snow White   Characters can be positioned in any pose  The male kneeling shows his finger pushed through his temple .. oops   Make of it what you will and let your common sense take you to never never land if you wish  or just enjoy a moment of imagination  that's all there is Posing and comments belong to the blogger

These statistics are a refection of individual choices made in a democracy that ignores safety, either by the electorate or those who choose to feel invincible Personal experience finds small businesses not policing social distancing   Lack of ongoing managed testing is not permission to congregate with others   As cruel as this situation is the outcomes are not a way of life we can continue safely  Do something governor Ron DeSantis Rapid increases in coronavirus cases are still part of "the first wave," according to Dr. Anthony Fauci, who said states must continue to follow safety standards or risk further outbreaks. Despite record highs of new infections, the governors of Florida, Arizona, and Texas say they’re not considering another shutdown. The steroid dexamethasone was given to thousands of people critically ill with corona virus in a randomized, controlled trial. Credit: Dr P. Marazzi/Science Photo Library An inexpensive and commonly used steroid can save the lives of people seriously ill with COVID-19, a randomized, controlled clinical trial in the United Kingdom has found. The drug, called dexamethasone, is the first shown to reduce deaths from the coronavirus that has killed more than 430,000 people globally. In the trial, it cut deaths by about one-third in patients who were on ventilators because of coronavirus infection. Photo credit : Dr P. Marazzi/Science Photo Library   www.nature.com

Isn't It a Pity Version One / George Harrison Isn't it a pity Isn't it a shame How we break each other's hearts And cause each other pain How we take each other's love Without thinking anymore Forgetting to give back Now, isn't it a pity Some things take so long But how do I explain When not too many people Can see we're all the same And because of all their tears Your eyes can't hope to see The beauty that surrounds them Now, isn't it a pity Isn't it a pity, (oh-o) Now, isn't is a shame How we break each other's hearts And cause each other pain How we take each other's love Without thinking anymore Forgetting to give back Now, isn't it a pity George Harrison - via youtube

The Second Coming

Image
“ The Second Coming " is a poem written by Irish poet W. B. Yeats in 1919 ” Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity. Yeats poem sounds familiar while written as the 1919 flu ravages  We repeat our sins our glorious moments of triumph and start a new age that makes and takes lives  With no less than a deaf and dumb shepherd who outrageous us all   we live on shaken ground to the taunts of retaliation  Change comes and go as we do but do we change Joni Mitchell - Slouching Towards Bethlehem  Joni Mitchell sings the poem in the above link poem distributed source:   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Second_Coming_(poem) youtube Joni Mitchell  Sluching Towards Bethlehem

How we form our identity

Image
Margaret Mead extolled the value of “spiritual and mental ancestors” in how w e form our identity — those people to whom we aren’t related but whose values we try to cultivate in ourselves; role models we seek out not from our immediate genetic pool but from the pool of culture the surrounds us, past and present. Seneca saw in reading, one of the oldest and most reliable ways to identify and contact these cultural ancestors, a way of being adopted into the “households of the noblest intellects.” That sounds like good advice to me  Why complain about our crappy parents, stupid friends and coworkers  They don't have to live in your heads  They only provide limited life support  How you think is up to you  Again the title of this blog is a message to all the people out there who don't have a choice about what rattles their behavior  This place is simply a way to think differently and to share it with those who happen to stumble upon the thoughts of another  by By Maria Pop

Spock

Image
Spock emerged for baby boomers when their parents looked for a child rearing guide Benjamin McLane Spock (May 2, 1903 – March 15, 1998) was an American pediatrician whose book Baby and Child Care (1946) is one of the best-selling volumes in history. The book's premise to mothers is that "you know more than you think you do." [1] Star Trek continued to nurture these young adults with a series that has influenced this generation as well as many others in numerous countries and maybe other galaxies.   Spock the Star Trek character flourished with his logic and enduring courage. Leonord Nimoy's last acting effort was in the SiFi television show Fringe . By Gage Skidmore, CC BY-SA 3.0 , https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=15345900 Source   wikipedia
