Your getting older

What's it like to grow old?  This is a question I asked my father.  His answer was simple and to the point.  "I think the same, but I am tired."  Of course we think the same.  You would think a lifetime of failures and successes would alter our conscience.  The accumulated earned wisdom does not change who we are.  It simply confirms the person people see, whether they view correctly or not.

If you live your life foolishly, you ache all over both inside and out.  Then again without taking a few chances, what is life for?  Regrets are a plenty for the person who did not tempt fate.  Living with the consequences of our soul's desires is the stuff of life.  So, do something stupid and it will in effect haunt you all you're living days.  Become the beacon of humanity and it will eventually crush you unless you find a hidden crutch.  All great men have one or two tucked away in their private lives, the grand escape that lets hope linger and the purpose for life survives.

Live each day as though it were your last and one day it will be.
