  The bikes listed here are the original editors choice .  There are others that are more economical depending on your use.  For the casual rider count on spending around $800 or less which may sound like a large amount.  Electric bikes solve the need to escape for a short distance and set  you free.  If your needs are greater there is a bike for you, just look around.  I have a Jupiter Bike which allows me a means to shop locally and visit the many parks in my area.
