A Christmas Idea

“For a long time we had the wrong product specifications when we thought of ourselves. We humans have been under the belief that we were endowed with a beautiful machine for thinking and understanding things. However, among the factory specifications for us is the lack of awareness of the true factory specifications (why complicate things?). The problem with thinking is that it causes you to develop illusions. And thinking may be such a waste of energy! Who needs it!"  I didn't come to this conclusion on my own, illusion is a commodity necessary for creativity and can be enjoyable.  It's one of my toys and reality distractions.  When it develops a sense of its own then perceptions get fragmented.  What is real isn't so easy to realize, it is no longer a fun loving friend and can be frightening.   Because it is the holidays, believe it or not, most of us choose children's banter, dreams and good memories.  A season filled with fond delights an...

 President-elect Donald Trump’s string of controversial nominations continued this past weekend, when he announced his intention to fire his own FBI Director, Chris Wray , and replace him with Kash Patel , a loyalist who shares Trump’s desire to use the bureau as a political tool. If past is prologue, Patel may face an uphill climb to even get the entirety of his own party on board. Trump tried to appoint Patel to various posts on his first term, only to be reportedly told by then-Attorney General Bill Barr that it would happen “over [his] dead body;” then-CIA Director Gina Haspel has also reportedly threatened to resign if Patel was installed under her.    By Chris Coons December 9, 2024 7:00 AM EST Chris Coons has been a Democratic U.S. Senator from Delaware since 2010. What looks like a mess is an arrangement with an end - like the mishandling of classified federal documents that will never get cleaned up by the FBI because the former appointed director is taking a forced early political leave  To borrow from the early protest days, Justice is just another word for nothing left to loose   "Wray still has three years left as FBI director, but given Trump’s public commitments to reforming law enforcement, he is likely to be pushed out or retire before 2027."
