Carbon emissions vs electrical distribution

More important than the vehicle comparison is the information related to the source of carbon emissions and the source of power production  My personal conclusion is   the problem remains a regulation and distribution of power  as opposed to the source of production  Nicola Tesla's idea for electrical redistribution seems to be the answer  We have yet to find the solution  
Will electromotive force be obsolete by the time a conclusion is developed
