Church attendance has become a declining statistic.   Moral issues of an alarming nature have statistics which are rising.  Is there a relationship between the two?  If thoughts become reality, what part of today's reality are you contributing to?  The soul and the mind influence each other.  Without guidance we may live with the wrong ideas about life and its purpose.  The issues of our times become perverted, accepted, and promoted as a way of life.  Listen to that little voice inside that tries to call the shots - before they become real shots. Bang bang your dead shots, mom I got an abortion, etc... and I know these are cheap shots in the eyes of many,  how else do we get attention these days?
