Killed by mistake

 The walk through a hospital lobby was met with a police officer who was on duty As I approached  him I noticed the gear hanging on his duty belt like the one seen below

I asked the officer how he knew what equipment was located on the belt  He just said after years on the force you just know  It is easy to see how a mistake can be made with so much hanging on his belt  Knowing the difference between a lethal weapon and an impairment device under duress does not look like a matter of "you just know"    Is it easy to make a mistake and draw the wrong weapon    Should it have happen at all   Mistakes can kill people   People make mistakes
