First responses from Gizmag's question how to upgrade windows 7 to windows 8.1  The overwhelming response was DON'T.   I swapped Ubuntu for windows 8.1 and found it to be a no brainer, and got as much help from MS.  Don't expect any commercials or hints on upgrade progress, there is none.  If you are prone to play with code I recommend Ubuntu, Windows seven is perfect for people who don't type with their thumbs~ Woe to the employees who are handed a tablet instead of keyboard connected to a real computer.
