We are pretty in our youth and live longer when properly cared for

This is a saltwater tank   The fish is a young grouper   It will loose it's spots when mature and look like less attractive  Keeping these fish is fun and expensive   An appreciation for water chemistry isn't an option  -  the occupants of any home reef will live longer when the host knows what their environment requires   The same goes for people and their habitat
