Substantive military threat is a rock from another star system

 Military pronounces unknown object as no longer a threat to National Security.   It's a small rock from outer space!  "That 2019 study argued that the wee meteor's speed, along with the trajectory of its orbit, proved with 99% certainty that the object had originated far beyond our solar system."  While in radar school during a time when tubes were being used in the electronics industry Norad fired up its big dishes and inadvertently bounced for the first time radar signals off of the moon.  When the same system detected a massive array of incoming signals planes were on the runway preparing for a threat.  Luckily we discovered what the signals were and why the North Atlantic Defense Array was in error. Do we always fully understand the machines we develop and the potential consequences that may occur when they are used?
