Spock

Spock emerged for baby boomers when their parents looked for a child rearing guide

Benjamin McLane Spock (May 2, 1903 – March 15, 1998) was an American pediatrician whose book Baby and Child Care (1946) is one of the best-selling volumes in history. The book's premise to mothers is that "you know more than you think you do."[1]

Star Trek continued to nurture these young adults with a series that has influenced this generation as well as many others in numerous countries and maybe other galaxies.  Spock the Star Trek character flourished with his logic and enduring courage. Leonord Nimoy's last acting effort was in the SiFi television show Fringe.
