Is Trump Suppressing The Epstein Files?
"Washington, D.C. (June 5, 2025)—Today, Rep. Robert Garcia, Ranking Member of the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, and Rep. Stephen F. Lynch, Acting Ranking Member of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Pamela Bondi and Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Kash Patel asking whether it is true that the Epstein files are being withheld because they personally implicate President Trump, as alleged in an X post by Elon Musk."
“We write with profound alarm at allegations that files relating to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have not been declassified and released to the American public because they personally implicate President Trump. On June 5, 2025, Elon Musk, the former senior advisor to the President and head of the Department of Government Efficiency, a component of the Executive Office of the President, posted on the social media platform X: ‘@realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public.’ We ask that you immediately clarify whether this allegation is true and respond to this letter with the requested information and documentation,” wrote Ranking Member Garcia and Acting Ranking Member Lynch.
